§ 1.13.060. Referral to city attorney.

A.

Any city department may refer a situation or condition located on a particular property or properties to the city attorney for the possible issuance of a nuisance abatement cease and desist order pursuant to this chapter.

B.

The city attorney shall initiate the proceedings set forth in this chapter only after the receipt of a referral from a city department and an independent review of whether or not property is being used or maintained in a manner that creates or fosters the creation of a public nuisance.
