The tax imposed under this chapter shall be paid to the director in lawful money of
the United States, at City Hall, San José, California. Lawful money shall mean any
coin, currency or negotiable instrument, exchangeable for said coin or currency, which
the United States Congress has declared to be a national legal tender.
