§ 6.50.010. Private patrol operator and in-house security program defined.

  • A.

    A "private patrol operator," or "operator of a private patrol service," means a person who, for any consideration whatsoever agrees to furnish or furnishes a watchman, guard, patrolman or other person to protect persons or property or to prevent the theft, unlawful taking, loss, embezzlement, misappropriation or concealment of any goods, wares, merchandise, money, bonds, stocks, notes, documents, papers or property of any kind; or performs the service of such watchman, guard, patrolman or other person, for any of said purposes.

    B.

    An "in-house security program" means a program established by a corporation, company, or other business entity, or by a private individual, for the purpose of protecting persons or property or to prevent the theft, unlawful taking, loss, embezzlement, misappropriation or concealment of any goods, wares, merchandise, money, bonds, stocks, notes, documents, papers, or property of any kind, which said program involves the hiring of employees to perform the services of watchman, guard, patrolman, or security officers on the premises of said corporation, company, or other business entity, or of said private individual.
